About Us
The historic Abiff Lodge #21 PHA began right after the close of World War I in the minds of a few men living in and around Highland Park, MI. Brother William H. Jackson led this founding group with a vision of brotherhood, service, and Masonic excellence.
On October 18, 1919, Most Worshipful Grand Master Charles S. Cook issued a dispensation to establish Abiff Lodge U.D. On January 28, 1920, Abiff Lodge was granted a charter at the 55th Annual Communication of the Most Worshipful Union Grand Lodge.
On April 3, 1920, a Ceremonial Communication was held in Highland Park for the consecration, dedication, and installation of the lodge’s first officers — a tradition of excellence that has continued for more than a century.
Mission + Vision
By promoting a firm belief in a Supreme Being and devotion to the tenets of brotherly love, relief, and truth, it is the mission of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Michigan and Abiff Lodge #21 to inspire good men, bound by virtue, to become better men, citizens, and leaders in their homes and communities.

On April 3, 1920, a Ceremonial Communication was held in Highland Park for the consecration, dedication, and installation of the officers of Abiff Lodge #21 by the Grand Lodge Officers of the Most Worshipful Union Grand Lodge.
